AMG E60 photoshoot

had a photoshoot with a AMG E60 last week. Finally finished with image editing.
With a 6-liter V8 engine, this is a pretty brutal car !
Yet another time I am challenged by a black car. This is especially challenging due to the black car reflects everything around it (like a mirror) This car had 9 layers of clear coat too, which made it really shiny.
The images from the first location are all multiple Polarization put together in photoshop, to eliminate reflections. I am satisfied with this location, and
will definitely be used again when they fill water in the pond I took pictures from.

These images are lightpainted with a fluorescent tube:

Tested another location also. But because the snow has just melted, it is not directly beautifully outdoors now :-) So these pictures were not as good as I hoped :-(
The light was not so good, and changing all the time ...

Published in the Classic Porsche magazine

One of my pictures got published in the Classic Porsche magazine. (Double Centerfold:-)
This is the club magazine to Porsche Club Norway.

The new Audi A6

Had a chance to take the new Audi A6 3.0 TDI quattro for a spin, and had to continue to test some light painting techniques. This is the second time I test this technique, and the first time on a black car. This is a composite image from multiple exposures. Mainly 3 exposures, but also small details from other exposures. This car is completely awesome, and with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), lane assist and side assist, it`s just to sit back and let the car do most of the driving :-) Driving comfort is outstanding for a "sporty car" like this one (also with 18" wheels).

I have made two different versions of this picture. A commercially "cheesy" image, and a workshop gritty look :-)

Light painting.

My first attempt at light painting. This is quite a difficult technique, but i am relatively happy with my first attempt. But still need a lot of practice. Just need  a car with a little more graceful lines, so it's more fun to experiment :-)

This image has an exposure time of 10 seconds, ISO 200, Aperture F14. The light painting was done with a 1.5-foot, 14W fluorescent lamp (with a stray light protection made from a cereal box and black duct tape) which i moved at a steady movement  from the back to the front of the car. What needs improvement here is the reflections in the upper part of window that is not even, and I would have liked a bit of light on the wheels (but only slightly). might just as well be like this, since I have winter wheels and ugly hubcaps on :-)
Found out that i need a wireless remote trigger for the camera, as this was quite cumbersome to first trigger the camera, and then run and "arrange" with the lighting :-)

There are only a small amount of photoshop work done on the image here.
A gradient tool in Lightroom (At the top and bottom of the picture). Removed the light spill in photoshop. A cooling filter to get a more blue tint. Thats it.......

And here is the original picture straight from the camera:

Here is a re-edit made from 2 exposures:
